JAARS is Jungle Aviation And Relay Services, and we provide transportation and logistics support to Gospel workers in some of the most remote places on earth.
Zac came to JAARS after an internship in Papua New Guinea where he grew up as a missionary kid, and Rachel came from teaching at a school for missionary kids in Albania. We both joined the JAARS Fellows program and the rest is history. Our son Ezekiel (Zeke) was born in 2024.
Together we want to offer practical support to those sharing God’s Word and hope. As an aircraft mechanic, Zac maintains the planes that make travel for missionaries and indigenous workers safer and more efficient.
Right now, we live and work at the JAARS base in Waxhaw, NC while Zac completes a training program designed to hone his skills for the unique challenges of the missions field. But in summer 2025, we will move to Ukarumpa, Papua New Guinea!
Without JAARS, Gospel workers would travel 2-3 days over dangerous roads, waterways, and hiking paths to reach their remote village from the mission center. With a JAARS’ helicopter, the trip is less than a day. Essential supplies and lifesaving medical care can also be delivered to remote locations much more quickly. JAARS is important because both indigenous and expat missionaries can have safe, reliable transportation so they can focus on their mission of sharing God’s Word and hope.
Would you join us in making transportation safer and more efficient for missionaries in Papua New Guinea?
